I like the idea of bringing in Forsberg. Also not a bad deal for Nashville.

The Blue Line could need an update at the trade deadline.

Bringing back Reimer is interesting as well. But 1.5 M is a big discount, isn’t it? He played well last season.

Canes aren’t interested in Dermott. Need somebody better. They’ll ship Foegele out for picks or prospects likely or package him for an upgrade in top 6.

He also wants top 6 minutes so this isn’t a good fit for him.

Were I the Canes, I’d be more interested in someone like Holl or Liljgren for Foegele.

I think that is around what Reimer would get.

Dermott and Foegele have similar value IMO. Perhaps the Leafs add a minor prospect in, but nothing much. Similar situations. Regarding the minutes, I could see him getting a chance on the Tavares line or Matthews line also.

      Yeah, could do Holl instead.

More so meant canes would likely move Foegele for prospect or pick versus a player like Dermott. Don’t disagree that their value is relatively close but think canes are trying to improve top 6 and third line which squeezes those types of players to fourth line and if that’s the case I’d rather go with younger cheaper guys (Lorentz Geekie etc)

We also have too many LD as is. We have Slavin-Skjei-Bean-Gardiner-Lajoie, even if one is taken in the ExD we still have 4 players that could be on the roster out of camp
