So a 26 year old 3rd or 4th liner and future 2nd and 3rd round picks is not even close to taking on 2 years of Neal.

So both Kassian & Neal are dumps. We’ve seen one year of Staal for 3.2M cash & 5.7M AAV who contributed 18+ mins a night fetch a second rounder. Neal is twice as long and over 11M cash. Kassian still has 3 more years so that’s rough as Yzerman has routinely said he wants short term deals for flexibility. Savoie, 2x seconds, and a third rounder isn’t really enough considering the cap, cash, and already having enough bottom six forwards.
