LAK decline pretty quickly.

I imagine NSH would like that package for Forsberg, I'm personally not a fan.

Huge overpay for Forsberg for 1 year. I would offer Amirov a first, at 50 percent retained and i throw in a second for the retention.

Sorry, gotta say, it's ridiculous for the Leafs to give three good futures for one year of Forsberg. Couldn't the Leafs just spend 6m on a short term UFA?
Gotta be in the discussion when the Leafs tell Reilly to hurry up and sign a contract, forgo free agency next summer, cause we want your ass outta here cause we want to trade you to LA.

WAAAAAAY too much for Forsberg for a season. - Amirov (top prospect), a roster player (Mikheyev? Dermott?) or other prospect (below a Liljegren/Robertson/Sandin - like a Kral, or Kokkenen for example) and a pick (likely the first) would be the value.

That is also likely too much for Dunn, seeing as they are outright looking to trade him, and he was healthy scratched several times through out the season.

tbf, I think the idea would be a sign + trade, where Rielly would work out an extension with LA as apart of the trade. not a situation where Leafs sign him, and then a couple days later screw him over and trade him lol

Sign and trades are 99% impractical. By your scenario above the Leafs still tell Reilly....."We want you outta here, so negotiate with LA, hurry up and sign a contract so you can be traded to LA. By the way, if you can't come to an agreement, you are welcome back with the Leafs for a Cup run." As I said, I want to be in on that discussion.

I mean, it's happened before. I am not sure why you are acting like OP is suggesting some outrageous concept lol It's also not the type of conversation you seem to imagine it as. It's a simple, professional;

"We have a deal on the table with ____________, they want to have some discussions with you and your agent regarding a possible extension. Expect that call"
