As an Islanders fan, I would rather a deal where St Louis gets Eberle, Leddy + Picks and Islanders get Tarasenko and Dunn. Wonder what St Louis Fans think?

All that OS would get you would be a thank you note from OTT

I feel like if Dunn could get a 1st he would have been moved already. His value always seems crazy over inflated on here to me but maybe I'm the one who is off.

At least the concept of the thread is fun. Who doesn't love family reunions

I don't see Flames doing this. We already have Andersson and Tanev on the right side

Flames don’t need parayko. Flames very very easily decline that garbage trade

Parayko is better than any dman on your team but ok. Not trying to be a dick but don’t think Tkachuk is signing an extension in Calgary after this year.

Blues likely need to at least add our 20211st for that matthew trade to go down. All of it is pretty unrealistic, but fun to look at. Defense is kinda sus.

That would be a terrible offer..... Leddy alone is a bad contract for what he brings compared to what Dunn can do on an upswing. Right now NYI is more likely to pay someone to take on Leddy....

In the end anyway, NYI should be trying to find the caproom to pay for Beauvillier and Pelech, not adding Tarasenko.

The flames have Tanev and andersson are rd they would have to play one of them bottom pairing which would be stupid. I’m 100% sure tkachuk will sign an extension, he is going to be the next captain

Captains leave without signing extensions - just ask Blues and Isles fans…

He could resign but I would bet against it.

2 RD can play together and Parayko is better than both those guys. Understand you don’t like trade - all good.

So that would be Eberle+Pick for Tarasenko and Leddy + 2 first round picks for Dunn if you really look at it and blues don't even have space to take his contract. He is that bad.

Dunn is worth a first just no one is willing to pay a first for a controlled contract at his age. If you want to look into the advanced statistics he's over the top of the charts on it, and he got better as the year went on. Blues won't be interested in trading for really anything less than a first.

Tanev 31 years old and he really didn't do much all year. Yes Andersson is good, but do you really want to play him a 2nd Pairing spot just yet? Now I agree this deal shouldn't go through but from Flames point of view it's not all that stupid, Other thing Matthew Tkachuk's father Keith I've spoke to him before Matthew doesn't want to get caught up in his father's limelight in St.Louis so I doubt Matthew would come this way anyway.

Leddy is still good and played the most minutes of any Islanders defender in the playoffs. I don’t see the blues having much interest in him though unless something else were to change.

Matthew Tkachuk is a 1st line star, you gotta give equal value to acquire him. That's not even close IMO.

They made it to game 7 of the conference finals (against an all time great team) so I would say it does. Would I rather have Dunn - yes. But Leddy is still a good dman.

Tanev was the best dfd this year, he was one of the best defensmen in the nhl

If no one is moving an asset for a player then that player isn't worth the asset even if the team would like them to be.

Also Dunn's numbers show that he can dominate depth players in his current match up but that DOES NOT mean that he would put up the same results when he plays in an increased role. There have historically been a lot of players with his profile not turn out which is likely why we have seen hesitancy for teams to trade for him. He will be worth even less if SLT is unable to protect him in the ED

you understand that Varlamov was holding his own the entire time and in most cases was making some brilliant saves and not to mention some great offensive play.

76% on defense 6% percentile on offense 35% percentile on PK 32% in Wins Above Replacement (WAR) that means he was better than 32% of defenseman.

It's not that he isn't worth it the market is set at a flat rate right now which makes people not want to risk giving up other quality to sign him when he needs his UFA years buyout contract. It's not exactly what you call not worth the amount he is set at it's that the market being flat cap is risky he's worth every bit of a first round at his quality of play and at his controlled contract.

Tanev lead all defensmen in war this year. Your stats are 100% wrong I have no idea what you were looking at maybe the 3 year average?

If it's the case oh well still old 31 years old and will not be playing that same skill level he's going to regress.
