After Weber decides to retire (LTIR) Price is more enticed to waive his nmc in order to win a cup. EDM and COL would be the two biggest bidder imo.

Theyre not in a playoff spot in march, trade Toffoli, Chiarot and perhaps Petry as well. Norlinder and McTavish making the team is wishfull thinking but still plausible imo.

Although it'd be nice to get rid of Neal (and Koskinen too) the Oilers should not pay Holloway AND a 1st to do so, especially if the return is Price. No shade, I explain what I mean. Price, as we saw this season, can still be spectacular and for sure is a good goalie. But he also has an extended history of injurys, he's 33 and has 5 years left on a 10.5 AAV contract. For me that's too many risks to be worth it. Like I said, I'm not trying to be Kucherov here and throw shade at Price or MTL but that's my position on things.

Edmonton just can't do this deal. Price has shown he's world class when the game is on the line but he's been mediocre in the regular season (have to get to the playoffs) and being that injury prone makes that contract just too big of a risk for 5 years.
