McDonough could be the most valuable trade asset if Tampa goes that route .. 32 year old with manageable 4yrs at $6.5Mish .. playing TOP of his game .. no issue with playing to 36 as shut down D and hasn't been hurt. ANY fringe contender would want him and immediate "C" or "A" .. without him Tampa doesn't 3peat .. he frees up Hedmen and Serg .. and was a plus 17 in playoffs .. top in NHL by far.

They'll take a real hockey player, Gourde led the Lightning forwards in minutes in game 5 to Johnson's 8:30. The pick and prospect will cover the extra year and higher cap number.
