They don't have to. Leddy replaces Dunn in top 4 and could be flipped at the deadline if they are out of contention or resigned. Bellows is a bit of a project, but has shown top 9 potential. Wilde adds to the defensive prospect depth for the Blues which is needed. Eberle and Leddy could be swapped honestly if that's what is preferred, but much with Eichel I don't think Tank is going to return as much as people hope due to the salary and injury concerns

As I wrote in another post, I would take a 1st + a small add for Ladd. All in all, it's fair, and as you said we are kind of desperate for high picks.

Agreed. I think if Arizona wants more picks a 3rd or 4th could be added instead of a fringe prospect/player.

STL will get better offers than that

Maybe, maybe not. I think Tarasenko is worth a Late first and a small add at this point. The bigger issue is any team fitting in salary so STL will have to take some salary back. Any contender, the most likely destinations given his NTC, will need to have salary matched or close. This gives STL a plug and play with Leddy (who allows flexibility at the deadline), a defensive prospect that's needed and a top 9 young project player. Dunn would likely be lost in expansion and I don't think his value is that high, maybe a 2nd and lower prospect. At least that's how I see it.

Detroit thinks offer is fair and will accept unless something better turns up.

I think Blues Fans are delusional if they Tarasenko is worth more than that when he is coming off of three shoulder surgeries and horrible back to back seasons, hahaha!

I’m not a blues fan. I just think enough teams will be interested in him and that’ll drive price up. Especially if STL retains

I agree, but the NTC throws the wrench into things. Figure there is probably 8-10 teams he would waive for. Then how many of them are willing to aquire Tarasenko between cap and the honest risk of a player coming off 3 shoulder surgeries. I'm willing to bet that is a handful of teams at best.
