It's highly possible. There are going to be quite a few good D-men available and not many scorers. Donskoi could easily be picked over Graves.

They could trade Graves for a forward. I don't see them passing on him unless the Avs pay them to pick some else. I mean why wouldn't Seattle take him and then trade him for Garland themselves?

They have to draft at least 14 forwards. They can't just draft all d-men and trade them for forwards. Unless we see a lot of teams go the 8-1 method in protection, the forward pool will be pretty weak. Donskoi will be one of the better ones available.

It's just hypothetical. No one knows what the hell Seattle will do, but it'll come down to Graves or Donskoi unless the Avs pay Seattle to take someone else (e.g., Compher, Johnson)

COL would have to add quite a bit in that Garland trade I would think. Also Ranta looks like he will need a season in the AHL and Kaut (for the love of god Avs) should slot in on that 4th line.

Minor things on the signings, Werner and Jones aren’t both going to get a contract probably neither since they have JoJo, Annunen, Miska and Miner already signed and dont really see Barron getting anything but an AHL deal if that.

    Overall I like it.

Yeah, I wasn't 100% sure on value, but with the term and the demand for a defenseman this offseason? You never know. And yeah, I'm with you on Kaut, an oversight on my part. Feel like it's pretty realistic overall though

As for the AHL deals, I legit just gave them all the same deal to see what it looked like haha.

What would the Avs add to level the value?

I’m not sure, all I know is garland is their best forward. They’ll ask for quite a bit most likely
