He's on a M-NTC his clause don't matter for the Expansion draft.

Did you expect an argument from me over that statement? Lol. The day he quit was one of the best days in Wings history. Coattail Kenny. Never saw a trade he didn't want to lose.

Yeah but signing players is only 1 aspect of the GMs job and you can be bad at signing players and still be a good GM. Holland gave just about everyone an NTC but he does have 4 Cups as a GM.

He has 1 cup plus 3 of Bowman's and Murray's that he took credit for. And the 1 cup he has wouldn't be his if Yzerman hadn't talked him into resigning Datsyuk. Controversial opinion but I think Kenny actually cost us cups...

No not at all! Just saying you can be bad at one aspect but still be a good GM. Holland is a very positive person and likes to make people happy. That kind of mind set doesn't really help when negotiating contracts. But that doesn't make a bad GM no he does have 4 cups.

Being a "positive person" as you put it, has cost Holland tremendously throughout his career and by extension that has hurt the Red Wings. This rebuild should have started after we lost to San Jose the second year in a row but nice guy Holland kept handing out massive extensions with NMCs, making horribly ill advised trades and signing silly free agent contracts to please the remaining core. When that finally and predictably imploded we were left with our collective d*cks in our hands. Holland should have left before Yzerman did because he's not built to rebuild teams.

Sorry rereading some of my comments makes it seem like I was talking harshly to you. If it came off that's not the way I meant it. I respect your opinion; I just don't like Ken Holland.
