Rangers offseason

Created by: sign_Kravtsov74
Team: 2021-22 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 12, 2021
Published: Jul. 12, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
For some of those FA signings.
Glendening is a gritty two way center who has been one of the best faceoff men in the league. Last season posting a 60.88 fo%. It's something the rangers really lack and would be a great asset to have.
Goodrow finishes the bottom six up. Again a gritty hard working winger that plays a 200 foot game. I see the rangers getting him (even though I believe wherever Coleman and Goodrow go they have to stick together)

Additional Details:
Seattle selects Brett Howden in the Expansion draft
2.
NYR
  1. 2021 6th round pick (OTT)
OTT
  1. Hájek, Libor
Additional Details:
Rangers D is starting to fill out now and Hajek doesn't fit anymore. Needs a new team
3.

  1. Lundkvist, Nils
  2. Robertson, Matthew
  3. Strome, Ryan
  4. 2021 1st round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
The sabres had Eichel's value way too high, still think it's a little high as of right now but it's getting close to the actual value. This is probably what the Rangers offer to the sabres for Eichel as it's 3-4 pieces that are equivalent to a first round pick. Robertson was considered to be a first round pick the year he got drafted end had a great WHL season (doesn't upgrade his value but still would be a player buffalo wouldn't mind having)
4.
VGK
  1. 2021 4th round pick (LAK)
  2. 2022 5th round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Rangers need a gritty Dman, McNabb fills that and Gallant Coached him in vegas, so know's him pretty well (what he can bring to the table)

So in one year the Sabres are left with two defensive prospects that they don’t really need. And 15th overall in a weird draft. Sabres and the Rangers really don’t make a lot of sense for an Eichel trade.

Buch isn't too much. If you looked at his analytics he is well worth 7 mil. Jfresh hockey has his contract value around 8.5 mil. He was amazing all around this year. Chytil hasn't produced anough to get more 1-1.5 mil imo is fair

Cool you can argue with that but besides Dahlin Ristolainen Miller Jokiharju. But Risto is going to be most likely gone at the draft. Leaves you with 3 of those four. You need two big prospects for that awful blueline and they go well for that. Buffalo needs to draft well and they have high regards for this draft which I have no clue why. Shows you how "Amazing" their front office is

It's either the rangers or Ducks. Ducks wont be willing to part with Zegras or Drysdale so your only option is the third overall pick and that itself isn't even close to eichel's value (especially in a weak draft class)

They have Dahlin and Jokiharju. Samuelson LD 32 overall in 2018, Johnson LD 31st overall in 2019. LD prospect they have no need for. Sure they could use Lundkvist, but I’m sure they would rather get forward prospects instead. Which the Rangers don’t really have any good ones.

Not enough in the buffalo deal. I also think Vegas will want more too.

There is zero pressure for Eichel to be traded he's under contract for the next 5 years, there is massive pressure from the fans not to have another ROR trade.

Chytil is going to get around $2.5M and Buch around $5.5M and the Rangers aren't trading Lundkvist. Don't forget about the bonus overages.

Cool, but have they showed more promise than Robertson and Nils? And I guess Kravtsov, Chytil, Lafreniere, Kakko, etc have all died :/

If it's longer term for chytil i can see that and buch is worth around 7 mil. His analytics were insane this year.

Yeah, I was thinking either a 3rd or 4th. Third seemed a little too much for him IMO so went with fourth but you can easily swap those two picks around

Kravtsov hasn’t scored at any pro level. Kakko is untouchable for some reason. I do like Chytil. I would like to have him back if the Rangers were to trade for Eichel.

I could see either him or Robertson. If chytil gets it done, I'd do it. Kravtsov scored 16 goals in 49 KHL games. Super hard to score as a 21 yr old in the KHL like that

And if I’m not mistaken he had like 10in10 in the khl before he got hurt

Let's be clear here, Buffalo does not need to trade Eichel, he will not be given away.
Yes it is highly possible that Ristolainen will be traded.
Last year Bryson, Borgen and Samuelsson played their first NHL game and played well.
On the other hand Robertson has played well in the Juniors.
So if Ristolainen is traded and Miller is plucked by Seattle it leaves the Sabres with:
Dahlin Jokiharju
Bryson Borgen
Samuelsson (Irwin)

Borgen is the oldest of the five at 23 years old.

Buffalo needs RW talent as Reinhart may also be gone.
The ONLY young RW the Sabres have under contract is Tage Thompson.
If you want to make a trade for Eichel please include players that fill holes, not add to an already healthy prospect pool.

You may not want to add them but Kravtsov and Kakko make a lot more sense for Buffalo than Lundkvist and Robertson.
If you want you can add DeAngelo to balance the cap as well as Strome (who will not be a Sabre beyond next year).

Well that is my two cents.
