Pretty sure Keith went out west so that he is close to his family...he won't be getting traded anywhere East.

Dallas doesn't have the $9.5M+ to spend on Barrie, a cap dump (Turris), & a depth piece that Dallas has plenty of (Shore).

On top of giving up one of our best forward prospects if not the best, a 2nd and a 3rd.

Oiler fans simply have to accept that Duncan Keith is a member of the team, along with his full cap hit. One of those is a positive, the other is not. Evidently Ken Holland and his scouting staff feel the positive outweighs the negative, and many fans do not agree. He will play these next two seasons in Edmonton, regardless of fan sentiment.

I don't mind losing a top prospect if I'm getting a legit top pair caliber RD (a position Dallas desperately needs depth for), but there has to be significant cap going the other way to balance out the entire deal.

Ryan Murray for 875,000 for three years? all the offer sheets are matched without hesitation. This is just a troll right?

If Dallas were to get a RHD I would rather go for a guy like Seth Jones or wait till next years FA class than go after another offence first guy.
