Bert’s value is inflated because he is club controlled, a fan favorite, and can not only put up points but plays the grind/checking/grit role teams covet. If he gets traded this year it will be at the TDL, which would also more than likely up his value especially if he puts up solid numbers and plays a healthy season. (See Mantha trade)

This package is not enough to pry Bert away I don’t think, but is definitely better than some mocks on here.

That's fine, didn't even see them as 1 of the teams were in on him, so you should be relieved. I read kings have 2 big prospects + their first in play for him, so I'm hoping he goes there. Not all those pieces, but a combo of 1 of the prospects and the pick or 2 prospects.

How is that unreasonable especially when you are sending a player that was drafted 2OA and hasn’t lived up to his potential, even digressed last season. A player with minimal NHL games and who also missed pretty much the entire prior season due to injury. And a late 2nd/3rd?

Value for value this isn’t horrible, but DET does not need to move him and will more than likely sign him to a multi year deal. Plus he put up solid points in the few games he played last season but also has lower value due to injury!
