Why would Detroit even think about doing that.

Ladd is a useless player on a **** of a contract that cannot be bought out - Value negative two 1st round picks.
Hickey is an AHL player who plays a position where Detroit already have 9 waiver eligible players - Value negative one 2nd round pick.
Mayfield is a RD and Detroit already have 4 of those (Hronek, Seider, Stecher, Lindström) - Value negative two 2nd round picks.

For Detroit to take those contracts off your hands you will have to pay us two 1st round picks and three 2nd round picks, and you can forget about getting a 7th rounder back.

Why would Islanders do that Kuznetsov trade. Pagau was great in the playoffs while Kuzy just gets worse every season plus he's on a hefty contract. As an Oilers fan we aldready have Nurse and Keith with the price we payed gotta play that 2nd pairing role. We ain't giving up a 1st for a guy to play in the 3rd line. We also have Koekekk and Russel. Also Blues is not doing that unless they fully wanna commit to a rebuild

pageau is a player who only apears in the playoffs and is making 5 mill to play on the third line maybe second line kuznetsov has had more points in every season than pageau. ik that kuznestov isnt great but he is a good second line center. keith is playing second pair bcuz there isnt a good second pair dman plus leddy is a good dman who is probly gonna assist more in terms of skill rather than the 3 cups etc. if they lose tarasenko they are gonna need to retool so i say send krug for the assets then draft another top scoring winger to play in the top six or sign a few guys like hamilton etc. im not saying this is what the islanders should do. i just think this is a route they could go down and i think it makes sense

Leddy is a depth defenseman making $5.5mil with 1 year left on his contract, nobody is giving up a 1st. He likely gets a mid-round pick.

I'm very interested in this Blues idea you have, but not totally sure Wilde is the player piece to complete this. Perhaps Mayfield and Bolduc instead?

The Blues are not doing a rebuild, and doing this deal would not necessitate one.
