Wait, Drouin has more value than Arvidsson?

Nah.

There's noway Dunn isn't a Kraken. And why would Blake want Drouin?

Kings would be LUCKY if Seattle takes Maatta. It's either Clague, Lizotte, or Quick in that order.

If Dunn makes it through, why would the Blues trade him? And why on Earth would they be the one adding picks here?

I think it is a smart move to want Drouin. Outside of Canada, especially the province of Quebec, where hockey is a religion would do him some good. He is a point producing winger, excellent speed and hands. I think your offer is fair. My only issue is MTL has the most depth at LD than any other NHL team with 8 LD's in AHL, Junior, overseas in their system. So maybe another prospect with the 2nd and 3rd.

The picks are going the wrong way. In a flat cap world, players with a big cap are a liability.

The offer is not fair. It's a huge overpayment.

just over 5 m for a player that gives you 0.59% PPG is a good contract and player. When you consider 0.60% is the minimum floor for a top 6 forward in the league. # for 1 might be a little rich. maybe 2 for 1 then.

Kings can easily spend 5.5m on a good UFA rather take Drouin and give up too?

not really. He averages 0.59% PPG over his career. 0.60% is your minimum floor for a top 6 winger in the league. The issue with Jo is not his abilities but playing in Quebec. I was on record saying this would be a mistake. Once he gets out of a Canadian market he will be fine. 3 for 1 might be right but 2 for 1 would be good. When healthy, this is a proven top 6 forward, with speed and hands. He also gives you good looks on PP.

He's an overpaid winger who never could reach his true potential and has become an issue to his team to the point they're willing to give him to Seattle for free and protect a pending UFA over him.

Drouin should get a chance in other team, I agree with that much. But Habs are going to make zero profit out of it.

Sign Zach Hyman or Michael Bunting or Mike Hoffman for $4.5M without giving up assets, or trade picks for Drouin.

C'mon, bud. You're smarter than this.

I would sign Hyman and or Bunting. Both good players. MTL won't let Jo go for nothing.

He's literally exposed. If SEA picks him he's gone for nothing. But they won't.

for the expansion draft yes, you are correct. But that was because they chose to protect 7 other forwards and Dru was on LTIR. If Kraken pick him this is a mute point, but if they do not, MTL will not trade him for nothing.
