Pretty easy no from LA. They don't need the cap space, but they do need a backup goaltender. I wouldn't trade the #8 for Reinhart, let alone the #8 and the Kings best winger prospect,

    They're pretty eager to compete

    Arvidsson trade, doughty bravado, etc.

With a core emerging quite soon too

    Interesting Eichel offer

I think it gets the conversation going in a big way

But lacks that extra gear to get it done

Theoretically as it would help augment the return in a year when they're not competing but idk if it quite achieved that here ^ Confused

To help complete the trade with Vancouver, 6 million, but only for 1 year.

LA wants a top 6 center, buffalo has the top two on the market, and that is a hell of a lot cheaper than Eichel.
And if you wouldnt trade 8 for Reinhart, you'd make for a terrible NHL GM.

Thats the exact type of trade Benning would look to make.

Sign him to an extension first, then maybe LA would be inclined to give up a top 10 pick. As it stands, if he elects arbitration, LA could lose him to UFA next summer. At least Eichel is signed for 5 more years.

I would wager and trade with reinhart would be just like stone and max pac, agent and team talk first, contract is signed after the trade (immediately)

Good news. Reinhart can play both, he has done so at a high level
