Probably just rumours. I wouldn’t believe it, mainly because the expansion draft has not happened, so how can something be leaked if it hasn’t happened yet? They are picking Jared McCann in my opinion, unless they get payed not to.

It's called building fanfare for an incoming franchise. I'm actually surprised more of this hasn't happened.

It's a cool way to drum up interest in a team just starting out.
