That is a terrible trade with the leafs.

What I'm seeing is that the Leafs need a good 3rd pair defencemen, and the habs needed a good left winger. Which prospects would you give in exchange for Robertson?

Leafs arent trading their best prospect to get a third pair defenseman. That can be easily done internally or via Free Agency. As far as I'm concerned, Robertson is untouchable

To be honest, I don’t really want Robertson, I wouldn’t bother trading for him, I think one very good season in juniors has overinflated his value. Guhle will be a very good top 4 defenceman, and on top of that you’re giving up two first round picks, one of which will be in a very stacked draft class in a year this team may miss the playoffs. It’s not worth it. Let the leafs keep another short guy who won’t show up in the playoffs.

Haha, I really like how Robertson is, and I like how he can be a player similar to Caufield. Plus, we already have more defensive prospects like Norlinder, Fleury, Struble, etc, so I think one of them can be dispensable. Here are my (hopeful) future defence pairings in 2-3 seasons

I see Robertson as someone who is similar to Caufield, so I decided to give some picks and prospects to entice the trade.

For 1 season yeah but he has 2yrs left, maybe add a 4th to that or just make it 2 3rd rd picks. But I'd be very surprised if Byron wasn't on Montreal next season.
