Nick: Doesn't Vegas owe the Pens a first rounder if they select Fleurysarcasm?

Fleury has a no trade clause, so he can't be selected by Vegas unless he agrees to waive it, which I think is something he would be willing to do.

I don't see the point of trading Kuhnhackl and Fehr for late round picks. Depth forwards are always nice to have, and although Sundqvist and Sprong look promising, they have not been given enough games to be NHL players for sure.

The Pens weakest position is defenseman, so I do not see why we would give up two young defensemen and two 2nds for a position they already have plenty of depth at.

Well actually no, he decides if he wants to be exposed, Vegas does decide if he goes....

That said, these trade/signing weaken the team. They trade Maatta and replace him with useless Kulikov.

Not even mentioning that they don't need LWs...

Smith would be nice but he currently makes like what, $4-5 million or something and is a young RD. He is looking at something like 5-6 years, and at least $4.5 million AAV

Huge underpay on Dumoulin and slight overpay on Schultz.

No reason to move Kuhnhackl, and LAKs can't take on Fehr.

Pens WILL sign a more respectable backup if they move Fleury

Also don't see Bonino coming back, probably replaceable for less
