Description
I’m not optimistic the Jets will land Hamilton, and I’m worried that the trade carousel doesn’t have Winnipeg as a stop (though for the prices paid for Jones and Risto... I’m glad about that!)

Hoping that Pionk goes 8 for a lower AAV, and Copp re-ups for 4 years through his prime as a middle six forward. I would love Copp to be in the low 4s, but with what Bennet just got... I’m think 5 per isn’t out of the realm of reasonable.

I don’t think Stanley will get more than a bridge deal.

I would enjoy Kase, would love to see him in the bottom six on a value deal. Bring back Stas, 2 years at a lower AAV is fine for me. Matty P, I didn’t like him making $4+, but under $2 on a short deal, better the devil you know. He’s can also slot in on multiple lines.

Dubnyk (or another Vet) for $1.5M should be available, not need to spend too much for them to caddy for Helly 20-25 games next year.

On D... Larsson, Penny’s brother (she the better athlete in that family), Martinez... all gone. Suter want too much $$$.

Looking at the options remaining... not crazy about most. I like Savard, Reilly, Ceci from last year, not the Leafs or OTT version. Not sure much else is out there.

This give the Jets a very solid top 6, with competition between Heinola, Stanley and Samberg to make the team.

I’m not crazy about the roster, but add Prefetti in March, and get some offseason defensive development from Scheifele and Conner... and this team might be good enough defensively to compete.

I'd rather sign Ritchie then Kase.

I was optimistic that EvolvingWild’s 1-year projection was accurate. Turns out my optimism was misplaced.

I still really like the deal. Good value for a 1-year term.

Who would you swap with, 1 or 2 year term, 1.5M to 2M?

Jets could use some size, sandpaper and nasty in their bottom six.

I think there are a bunch of options especially if you go a tad higher to say 2.5:

Reimer, Halak, Raanta, Rittich even. Mrazek and Bernier too but I suspect they want a tad more.

Dubnyk has been a sub 0.900 goaltender for 2 years and is 35. That says to me he's done.

All useful options, and I prefer them all to Dubnyk. Not sure about the cost, but with the number of backup keepers available this year, hopefully one of them is left for the Jets to patiently sign for low $$$.

I prefer the higher skill that Kase brings, and Ritchie seems more potential than actual performance. I prefer size and skill, but that usually costs a fair bit more.

Kase looks good but doesn't produce **** all and he's injury prone, Ritchie would be more useful in the playoffs as well.

And Brossoit is better then Dubnyk, would just be better to bring him back then sign Dubnyk who is done.
