Should have seen 1st if you were Buffalo fan. But to Sen fan:
Yeah, wild aren't trading Calen addison, or especially Jesper wallstedt.

I think if Minny called with this, Buffalo would accept in a heartbeat. I can't see the Wild giving up so much, even if they are getting 50% retained.

This is what the believed value for Jack is. And the wild keep Boldy.

Also there is no trade where Buffalo retains any of that salary for 5 years.

Vegas may have just done the Sabres a huge favor.

What? The reported original ask was the equivalent of 4 1st's, and has since dropped to 3 1st's.

Let's add this all up, shall we?

Addison = 1st
Rossi = 1st
Wallstedt = 1st

Total so far = 3 1st's

2022 1st = 1st
2023 1st = 1st

Total so far = 5 1st's

We're already in overpay territory...

2022 2nd
+
2023 2nd = 1st

Total = 6 1st's

+
2022 5th

2023 4th

In what universe is Eichel worth 6 1st's plus a 4th and a 5th. Don't be stupid, he's not McDavid!

We also can I'll afford to lose Rossi, Addison, and Wallstedt. Boldy is easily the most replaceable of the bunch. Holding onto Boldy means absolutely nothing if the rest of our high-end prospects are wiped out in the insuing trade. Eichel is not worth TWO top 50 prospects let alone THREE.

When it comes to the draft picks, its really just five first rounders. You can’t really add the second rounders and make them a first. In fact, the 2nds, the 4th, and the 5th are all pretty much just crap shoots.

However, this does not take away from the fact that this is a ludicrous overpay from the Wild.

We'll I didn't make this proposal. But Jack's value is still the equivalent of four 1st. The Vegas rumor proposal was just click bait. Rossi=1st, two 1st = two 1st.

The rest is what the team values those other pieces. Two seconds don't equal a 1st. If that was the case teams would trade back into the first round all the time. Addison isn't worth a first yet.

Wallstedt was drafted 20th overall, so he should be considered a 1st, however most teams only have about 15 players per draft that they value as a first round pick. So that being said who knows what the value for him is per team.

So that being said you can probably take out all the random picks and keep it with the prospects/1st's. We could all be wrong with what the price might be, but I don't see the value changing In one day, right after it was reported yesterday that they haven't changed their wanted four 1st's.
