I would definitely consider this for NYI with the extension, but I'd rather not give up Beauvillier if we can help it. If we bring in someone on an expiring deal for this season, we'd have an easier time signing Rielly as a free agent in 2022.

Isles prob make this trade provided they bring in another forward. Don't hate the trade. Would Reilly sign for that though?

I doubt he would take anything less than Beauvillier. Toronto wants Bertuzzi and are unwilling to give up Sandin. Rielly doesn't have much value from Detroit's because he won't resign in Detroit. I'd say there is a pretty good chance that Rielly would resign with NYI. As a Detroit fan I'm getting sick of Bertuzzi to Toronto trades but not this one this is something different and new I would most likely accept this trade.

And the isles wouldn’t trade for rielly for beauvillier
