Not all of those players are full cap relief from the LTIR though. That only applies to guys who virtually gone for the year like Dupuis and/ or rookies.

Yeah you're supposed to use pro mode for cap space not rookie mode.

that is actually false, yes it does not provide cap relief in the sense that we can just trade for top guys with tons of money, but we can tee for guys with term that fits the total term we have lost. For example, if we lost Letang for 7.25M...we can get someone up to that much money. Also, it won't matter anyhow because all of those guys are not coming back until playoffs where cap and roster rules do not apply..so come off your mighty horse and no what you are taking about prior to calling someone out.

That's not how it works though, LTIR and IR are not the same, and you don't get full cap relief for players on either, there is a formula for it listed here on capfriendly...
