Detroit passes. Duchene is too expensive for too many years. Especially since Erne had almost double the production of Duchene.

Can't imagine there'd be too many GM's interested in Duchene, what a terrible season he had.

Then Detroit would have Duchene at 5x6 and still no #2 center....

I don't know, I think I might actually do that if I was Yzerman. He's had one bad season but I see no reason for him not to bounce back.

What's the reason for you guys thinking different?

I do this as well, players seem to fall off when they go to Nashville. Also Duchene at 6M is easier to trade in the future if need be, might be with retention, but still easier than full salary.
Get some youth on his wings and he might get rejuvenated a bit.
Though I think I would prefer Johansen personally.
I would try and take advantage of him being untradable and try and get something with it, even if it was a mid round pick.
