Think you proved it doesn't work. If Bortuzzo is NHL competent why do the Blues retain on him and take just a fourth round pick?

I mean the 4th round pick is worth more than that amount of retention if you don't see Bortuzzo as an NHLer.

Tatar would actually be perfect for TOR. He doesn’t perform in the playoffs either.

Gee the Leafs would much better off having Mikheyvov and Dermot at 3m than Tatar at 2.9m, because they can't guarantee 6 NHL Dman with Tatar

Tatar is the kind of forward the leafs don't need or want. Last 2 years scratched in playoffs by habs and bluejackets.
