      Never thought about it before this post, but Trocheck coming home after next season might make a lot of sense. Seems like the Canes under value every one of their pending UFAs so I could definitely see him walking.

      The Wings don't need or want Pettersson and have no reason to help Pittsburgh solve their cap issues unless you want to pay Wings to do so.

      Um, actually the wings do want Pettersson. And he doesn't hold negative value either

      They wanted him pre-expansion draft not now. And Pettersson isn't worth the 9th overall pick Michael Rasmussen plus a 6th round pick.
