I like the idea of Nick Ritchie but I don't think the leafs would trade all of that in exchange for Backlund

Might be a fair value trade, but the Leafs can't take on the extra 2m in cap Backlund for Kerfoot.

Leafs can't really afford Backlund, and they are weak at LW (obviously you don't really trade a player you just signed). Besides, the trade is a loss for the flames. A Coleman-Backlund-AMangia line will be a menace in that division.
