Description

Just read somewhere that New Jersey wants to unload Subban’s last year of contract… If the Devils retained at least 50% of his 9M AAV, it would actually be manageable cap-wise for Montreal, if Kulak’s going the other way as a throw-in at least.

Will the prodigal son return finish his contract where it was initially signed? That would be quite astonishing considering how it ended the first time, but imagine how entertaining it would be to rekindled the classic « triple-low-five » celebration!

Considering how lucrative D market is this time, I just don't see the point of dumping Subban half retained for absolutely nothing in return.

Indeed, the Devils don’t appear to be in a cap-crunch situation and I was surprised by the « rumor » of him being on the trading block for financial reasons. This exercise was mostly done because I was nostalgic of the triple-low-five and especially because I would find it quite ironic that Subban be called upon to replace the very same player he was traded for!
