I don't see the Rangers moving both Lundkvist and Schneider - 1 of them sure...

If Schneider, or Kakko, were on the table, Eichel is already a Ranger. Let alone both, let alone both plus Nils. This offer is fantasyland.

Lol. I kinda hope they give dahlin a little extra and do not overpay for mittelstadt or jokiharju- but that might just be my own personal bias.

honest question: regardless of where Eichel ends up, what do you truly think he will return in a trade?

Too many variables, but D and goalie prospects are not a need for Buffalo. Everyone needs to stop confusing "this trade makes no sense" with, "we want more"

ok understood - but let me ask you this: in the above trade, do you think any team in the league would beat that?

a young NHL middle 6 forward and a decent forward prospect + a 1st would beat that, Draft picks are lotto tickets and we have no idea where theyre picking, more than likely 20+ with Eichel. By %s theyre getting a bottom 6 NHLer past pick 20 with a small % chance they get a top 6 forward and and even smaller % chance of a superstar. They arent going to flip any of the d into a top 6 forward, especially when theoretically your keeping the best out of your prospect pool and trading the also-rans, so it doesnt put them in a better situation. Theyll have a ton of talent on the youngest d core in the league with 0 forwards and no experience

sooooo, Chytil, Kakko or Kravtsov and a 1st would be better than the above?

BUF fans r gonna be disappointed

Eichel is forcing his way out and comes with a pretty serious injury as well as a 10 mill cap hit at flat cap

Sure he's a top 10 center when healthy but for the reasons mentioned above teams rnt as interested or desperate as u might think

Basically their doing this "Here is the maximum we're willing risk in a Eichel trade and if u don't think its enough trade him elsewhere... this offer may only be on the table for a certain period of time as we explore other options"

the BUF gm is playing his cards right.. but time is running out
