Description
Let me know what you think the trades should include. Main goal is to improve the top 6. Adding Rakell would be to improve the top 9, most likely would end up on the third line.

Hope they go for at least one if not two of these guys between now and TDL.

Think most of these would be deadline deals. Rakell should get moved now imo.

i like the d pairs, though they are fairly expensive. based strictly on play, i like deangelo as a third pair guy.

i think if you want rakell, you can couple something with jesper fast. rakell may be more durable overall, and can play on the right side to add a little more punch.

Unless Trocheck is available, I don't see it.

Unless Pasta is coming back, he's not.

I never said it's one for one and the gap between Pastrnak-Trocheck is way bigger than Trocheck-DeBrusk.

I disagree with that, but I also never said one for one. Trocheck won't be moved unless there is some MAJOR piece coming back.

And the Bruins won't trade DeBrusk (especially to a contender) unless the trade really helps them. 2C or top4 LD which CAR doesn't have.
Pastrnak is elite, Trocheck is a 2nd liner, DeBrusk is a 3rd liner. Not sure how the gap isn't bigger but disagree with it I guess

Trocheck is a little under a PPG C when he's at his best. DeBrusk is lucky to get 40 points in an 82 game season. That puts Trocheck closer to Pasta's ability than DeBrusks. It's not particularly close either. Either way, DeBrusk won't be moved unless Boston need cap to fit another piece in or in a move directly for a piece.

And neither Trocheck nor DeBrusk will likely keep this pace. Trocheck will come back to earth while DeBrusk will bounce back. Trocheck did that in '17-18, it's not the first time.

The fact Trocheck has done it before suggests it's sustainable. If he can stay healthy, he certainly has the tools to do it again.
We don't know what will happen with DeBrusk. Young players are way too inconsistent to try and gauge annually. He could have another season in the dumps, he could bounce back. He could need a change of scenery, he could very well just miss having a full house around him.
