If the Habs are interested in Dvorak it's to ease Kotkaniemi in a top 6 role. They are certainly not including him in a package for the former.

AND ENDS with Suzuki and Caufield HELL I wouldn't do KK 1 for 1! Montreal isn't trading for Tkachuk and certainly wouldn't include Suzuki or Caufield if they did! I didn't know that Tkachuk changed his name to McDavid! This is ridiculous for a guy who has only eclipsed 25 goals in a season once and disappears in the playoffs AND is rumored to be headed home to St. Louis as soon as he hits UFA status. Montreal passes and sticks with KK!

That’s fair if you don’t want to trade for him but if you did (like the OP did here) that’s the likely ask. Are you saying Suzuki and caufield are both gonna turn into just shy of mcdavid? If that’s the case you guys shouldn’t move them for anybody. I doubt they come close but guess we’ll see how it plays out. That’s also pretty surprising you wouldn’t do KK in a 1 for 1 for chucky. At least Suzuki and caufield have a good shot at being long term top 6 guys. Doesn’t seem like KK is that likely to turn into it. He might but I think odds aren’t that great compared to the two others.

No, what I am saying is Montreal is not moving what right now equates to 3 1sts for Tkachuk, there are far better players we could move KK, Guhle and a 1st for! and outside of McDavid, MacKinnon, Kutcherov or Ovechkin Montreal is not likely including Suzuki or Caufield.

I get where you’re coming from. Surprised Ovi at this stage of his career is one of the guys you’d move Suzuki or Caufield for. I would’ve thought the list was bigger - potentially Drai, Matthews, Nylander, Aho, Svech, Pasta, Point, Rantanen, Barkov, etc. I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting but essentially the top 25ish forwards is where I’m going since those guys are all still young snd in their prime and already at that level where we don’t know if Suzuki or caufield will reach that level.

I was just saying the elite players, your right though likely not Ovi at this point. Matthews and Drai, yes maybe Barkov but not likely the rest. At this point Suzuki and Caufield have the potential to be an Aho, Svech, Nylander, Pasta, Point, Rantanen types of players. So while it would help now it would be more of a lateral move later

Kind of agree with you but for different reasons. If you think they’ll turn into the rest of the guys I think the reason you don’t move them is bc they have more team control and are cheap in the short term while being effective. There’s definitely still a risk that one or both don’t pan out or come anywhere near some of those guys. But can see your argument, cheers.

Habs fans are complete clowns. Dont realize their midgets are only a year or two younger than Tkachuk and havent come close to what he's done and the impact he makes. Yet wont trade KK for him. LOL Campabee doesnt have a clue.
