If Strome was any good on the wing, this would make sense, but Carolina has arguably the best C-core depth in the league.

Offensively he wouldn't have problems, it is just a matter of what the organisation would think of his defensive and skating acumen.

Canes are pretty good at center and I don't think Strome should play on the wing. Thats not a bad thing to say. It just doesn't make CAR a good fit. Vegas, SEA, OTT, DET, BUF, CBJ, MIN are all looking to add a center. Heck even an older team looking to get younger like SJS.
