Looks like a lot of thought went into this such a shame wasted it on an Eichel trade. I’m very thankful to cheer for the team least likely to even ask about him. Don’t need don’t want heavily overrated.

I don't think OTT would protect Logan Brown just to move him for that. I'm aware his value outside our franchise is NOT big but IF they move Logan Brown it will be as a sweetener piece in a bigger deal.

Damn, I'd give comfortably more than that to get Eichel

Holden, Nick
Formenton, Alex
Forsberg, Anton
2023 1st round pick (OTT)
2024 1st round pick (OTT)
2024 2nd round pick (OTT)

This is a laughable offer and I don't like to use hyperbolic words.

And even then, if you ask me to choose between Formenton and Yamamoto, I take Formenton 100 times out of 100

==========================================

Regarding the Logan Brown trade, that'd be more realistic but also underwhelming. They'd have to really hate him to not give him a real opportunity rather than do this. That could produce much better results than Archibald/3rd could (unless they draft a good player with the pick of course). If it works, they either trade him for a better return or they decide he fills a role and then keep him as part of the solution

What is important to understand about Logan Brown is that covid and injuries took away a lot of development time. He has played ONLY 14 pro games (13 in AHL) since turning 22 y/o... and not even talking about his injuries before covid. It's equivalent as if he was still quite younger than he is.

Wow, and OTT/CAL fan picks their own player over a EDM player..... Not bias at all hahaha

Don't think it has anything to do with that but more that Yamamoto is 5'8 and Formenton is 6'2 while being an ELITE skater and playing with a mean streak.

Give Formenton Draisaitl, RNH and McDavid as common linemates and watch him go.

I'm not saying everyone would have the same opinion, but I clearly stand by this one.

Alex formenton has played parts of 4 seasons and hasn't produced more then a 4th liner. He's 6 inches taller but only 10 pounds heavier then Yamamoto... Yamamoto is more of a beast in the corners and a long the boards.. you're opinion is completely bias.. you know it.

The fact that you start by talking about Formenton's stats on a pretty small sample size at a very young age with limited ice time and poor linemates pretty much reveals how much you know and have watched the player. I gave you a hint but you didn't take it (Give Formenton Draisaitl, RNH and McDavid as common linemates and watch him go.)

Also not sure where you take your measurements but the 10 pounds comment seems way off.

Anyway, not sure what is so hard to understand here... It's very simple as I just told you this :

I'm not saying everyone would have the same opinion

I know most people base themselves on hockeydb to form opinions. Reading stats is easy, my Formenton preference over Yamamoto is obviously not based on that. I do consider basic stats and advanced stats too, of course, but players abilities are very important too. It's not that Yamamoto doesn't have a lot to offer but my preference of who I would rather have on my team is simply Formenton.

I have no idea why my own preference makes you react so much. This is just an entertainment and I don't give a rats ass if you prefer Yamamoto over Formenton, lol
