You'll need a REALLY good reason why you want Beagle, because Bear is worth a LOT more

Great deal for rebuilding Arizona, and trading Bear for a forward would make sense for Carolina since they now have 8 NHL defensemen under contract, but they just traded Foegele to get Bear, so no way they'd give up Bear for Beagle. Assuming they could have signed him to the same deal he got from Edmonton, keeping Foegele at $2.75M would have been much better than picking up Beagle at $3M. Even if Carolina does have some interest in Beagle, Arizona would need to add something.

And what makes you think Carolina would have even the smallest bit of interest in this deal?
