for better or worse

Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 3, 2021
Published: Aug. 21, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hyman > Ritchie....consider the cap money it's an equal trade off but Hyman is better.

Foligno < Kampf...Nick was a shell of his former self and useless player for Keefe's game plan.

Bogo > Lilypad/Biega....Bogo took a team discount.

Freddie > Mrazek...Andersen is better starter but Mrazek a better backup.

Thornton = Bunting...I'd say Jumbo's experience balances out Buntings lack of.

Nash = Gabriel...both are useless.

Rittich > Kallgren...time will tell if I'm wrong.

Galch = Kase...both are reclaim projects but since Kase's contract ends as RFA, I'll give him the slight win.

Just Foligno, he should have been in the $1.5 million range like Simmonds was last year. Why did Boston pay him double ?>other than they had the cap space.

Kerfoot should have been lost to expansion and Freddie walk away for nothing.

Hyman could have been kept at $5 million.

Ah yes the classic "run back the exact same team that just blew a 3 - 1 lead in the playoffs"

    That wasn't the question.

I hate everything Dubas has done pretty much.

You being over the salary cap by $8,369,783 was the very reason why this would've never worked.

I think Brindamour being far better as a coach, compared to Keefe, is the reason you feel this to be true.

No, it's because mrazek has been a bettet goalie and put up better numbers and freddy has been mostly awful

You didn't prove a thing, putting healthy players on LTIR is a major joke and wont happen.

Didn’t Hyman say he was excited to go to a place with a real chance of winning?

doh....my point is Freddie would walk as an UFA, Kerfoot gets taken by Seattle and Engvall goes to the AHL or is lost on waivers.

So yes Dubas could have kept the core from last season's failure team together for another season.
