My favorite trade for Eichel I have seen is
Monahan Zary Dube 2022 1st and a 2nd for Eichel. They immediately flip Monahan to a team that needs a center for more assets

Monahan has a no trade clause, good luck getting him to waive it. Even if the Sabres were going to try to send him elsewhere immediately, I don’t know if I would do it if I were him. The only reason to trade for Johnny Gaudreau would be to flip him immediately as well, it doesn’t make a lot of sense for Buffalo. They need a prospect that could play now as the main return of the deal.

You trade for Eichel to play with Gaudreau, not trade Gaudreau as part of thr package. Flames 100% have the assets
