Gonna need to be a better offer than this. Brannstrom is a good piece, Tierney is overpriced and a cap dump for the year. A lottery protected 23 first instead of the TB 2nd, and Greig added to this would probably get it done, without hurting OTT too bad.

Tierney's deal isn't that bad. He's a competent warm body for part of a year who will return a pick at the deadline. Also Brannstrom and a 2nd is already a lot to give up, adding Greig is flat out ridiculous.
MarcBergevin69 and zizou liked this.

Just add another 2nd rounder as Ottawa has a few

For a 3rd liner, his deal can't be seen as good. He's had 1 "decent year" 3 years ago. And you just made my point by calling him a "warm body". He adds no value to the trade other than a guy to plug into the lineup. Brannstorm's value has decreased, but he still has some upside. The TB second is a glorified 3rd. Dvorak's contract is very team friendly for the next number of years, and he's the perfect age to add to this team so they can all grow together. At some point, if you feel a player will help your team be more consistent and a playoff contender, you need to be willing to give up value and prospects.
