Lol what? I think DeBrusk is a fine 2nd/3rd line winger. That has nothing to do with this. Calgary has zero reason to sell a top 6 center they need for a LW they most definitely do not

They have wanted him for like the past 2 years (I dont know why, I have been saying the same thing the whole time),
but you are talking a 27 year old top 6 player for a 24 year old top 6/9 player with top 6 potential, especially because its likely he just needs something to spark his game

Debrusk and a 2nd is a good trade
Idk whats so hard to just understand about that

Its not a good trade, centers carry way more value than wingers, and Calgary has insane LW depth and almost no center depth. How is this confusing to you? DeBrusk would literally be the 5th and borderline 6th best LW in Calgary

If you arent willing to trade more than that for Monahan then go away. Flames have no reason to move their 1C for a winger they dont need

I mean Coleman literally had twice as many even strength points as DeBrusk did total points last year, Mangiapane was 11th in the league in 5v5 goals. Both Coleman and Mange are actually good in their own zone too. Again it's not close

Yes
Debrusk, like a lot of players, had an off yeaar because of COVID, if you cant recognize that, you are already far behind me in hockey IQ
but NO, debrusk is absolutely not worse than the two of them
Cmon, just a little bit of thinking goes a long way.

So Brad Marchand is obviously a significantly better player than Crosby rn, i mean the past 3 years he has outscored him, and is better defensively.
Like that one isnt even close.
(I dont even believe that, just making the good point that your logic is deeply flawed)

How do you get proven wrong and still try and argue you are right? Mind blowing

What did you prove wrong? Those cards posted above literally show that DeBrusk even at his best is worse than both players

that is incorrect, if you read the card, its a 3-year average, here is the cards for ONLY this year.
