I said I'd give Bozak a small overpay to sign in a previous ACGM. I meant a $2.25m x 1, $4.5m is crazy.

I like the idea of bringing Donato back, but not for that much.

Curious why you say that? I’m not even going to agree or disagree, since I don’t want to slant your response. I’m just very interested to hear why you feel they are a poorly run franchise.

Well look at their trade and draft history, in the last 10 years have made the poffs 7 times yet have advenced through 1st round only twice, ridiculous contracts (in terms of length) to Parise and Suter (big fan of both but still). This season the buyouts are fine but next season and especially the one after that they eat up 12+ mil off the cap. I still follow Wild though, don't get me wrong, but not as much as before.

As a Leaf fan, I have seen many years of GMs that haven't been able to get good value with respective to their salary cap.
Minnesota is just another team, wasting cap. Parise, Suter contracts, then the buyouts, Zuccharello for $$$ and term, Spurgeon probably won't be long term value. And miraculously the team hasn't really been able to having a 1C or 2C on the club at the time.
So when you having a bare playoff team right the cap, you just don't the cache to attract players at a discount, you seemingly have to overpay.

Do you think that they have the same management group as most of the last 10 or so years, or do you think it's a different guy/group of people in charge now?

No, but honestly I'm worried that you do

Sounds like you have no real worries in life if that's what you're worrying about. Must be nice.

Fletcher did more bad than good, Fenton was a disaster, and Guerin hasn't convinced yet. Can't say anything about Risebrough because didn't follow Wild back then. But keep living in oblivion and pretending Wild is and always has been a well run organization.
