My thinking for this, is that Q. Hughes would sign a $9M - $9.5M / 5 years with NJ as an offer sheet. If Vancouver matched they would have $1M in cap space to sign E. Pettersson, if they don't match they get 2 1sts (22 & 23) and a 2nd + 3rd (both 22), I think that Benning would prefer Bahl to a 2nd & 3rd.

Hughes can't sign an OS so there goes that logic

If Vancouver is trading Hughes to New Jersey then the 1st player they get in the trade better be Ty Smith because as good as Bahl is he is no Ty Smith
