Probably. But I think it’s close enough to bring the sides together. I doubt Girard really fits where MIN is going (just a tad too old for when they want to compete) but something around Newhook makes a good bit of sense.

If krill is a pain in the butt then trade him to a divisional rival who also can't afford him for their 2-3dman and their top prospect... no thank you

I think and deal involving Kirill should be heavily focused on futures. The team’s window probably opens in 4ish years and I’d want to bring in guys that will be 24-26 then. Not 28-29, old is very relative.

So 27 in 4 years is too old for you? That makes 0 sense.

Doesnt matter, Avs want no part of Kaprizov. Why would they pay him all that money to be the 4th, maybe 5th more used guy on the team after MacKinnon, Rantanen, Makar, and Landeskog

I’d assume the Wild retain half and I assume the Avs would love to have another point per game play driving winger during their cup window. IDK, sounds pretty good to me,

Retain half? hes an unsigned RFA, there is nothing for you to retain.
Nah...he got shut down in the playoffs, and pretty easily by that....asking 8m+ to be on their 2nd line, EASY decline.

Read the rest of the thread bud. The Wild won’t really be in it for about 4 years. That essentially runs out his current contract and I’d rather the team move for guys that will be in their prime at that time.

maybe if we didnt reasign landy but the chemistry on first line is too good we would be playing second line unless someone is injured and krill to good future wise to be on second line wouldnt mind him but second line

I’m sure the Bolts were really upset they had to bite the bullet and play Stammer on the 2nd line. You win cups by stacking your team.you can. Never have too many good players, saying otherwise is puzzling at best.

good point but you dont want to when you have to resign better players that we couldnt afford by trading for krill

This is sound logic.
