Description

This is just to show i think mtl can match kk, get the extension in the ball park he wants, and still have room for suzuki and romanov's extensions. roughly 10mil (allen walks and Primeau moves into backup 1B role) in cap space for 2023-24. Caufield gets 6 years 7 mil, Poehling 2 years 2 mil and Ylonen 2 years 850k.

I think Drouin will be welcome back and would want to come back to MTL on decreased salary instead of hitting the market

possibly yes, but caufield romanov and evans are all more important players than Drouin so even if he does want to return there needs to be space for it, the main point here was that we could match KK and still find the space to lock up the young core.

Regardless of what he decides do after this year you have 250k with no healthy scratches. This does not work. Moving one of the two players I mentioned makes this viable.
