Did you forget two firsts coming over from Nashville or something? Johansen is serious negative value. Bruins wouldn’t take him for free…no one would. Seattle had the opportunity. If he was worth a first and debrusk, he would be playing for seattle right now.

They wouldn't take johansen for free. I actually agree he might have a bit of a resurgence in a new spot with hall and smith, hes was a pretty good playmaker. You can't do it though. The contracts a nightmare.

He's got to be better than Coyle or Haula who are the options right now. Bruins paying Hall 6M so for that investment you better get him someone who can get him the puck when opportunity beckons. Can't take Johansen for free because that means an 8M cap hit. The Bruins should keep their 2022 1st no matter what. Try to work a deal with Nashville retaining 3M if you think he can click with Hall. If it can't be done then let that ship sail. Your only viable option in house to play with Hall at that point is Studnicka and that's a tough ask considering his inexperience although I'm fine with taking that chance to begin the season.
