As a B's fan i would love Gallagher but you can keep Jake Allen - I like Allen but he doesn't really fit in BOS. Also it would be really funny if they moved Pasta down to the second line and had Marchand - Bergeron - Gallagher. They would be so annoying lol

I'm not claiming to know everything, however trades like this don't happen all the time. Bennett was a former top 5 pick and returned 2 2nds, DeBrusk's value right now is about the same as that. adding 2 3rds does not get you a top 50 prospect in the league

and just to clarify since your example is utterly terrible... Bennett, that same 5th OA, had put up 12pts in back to back seasons. SO Debrusk even off a down year last season is easily bringing back 2 2nds

That Calgary trade is absolutely garbage, debrusk isn’t worth that much and even if he was the flames have 0 need for another left winger they have gaudreau , tkachuk, mangipane and dube who are all better then debrusk

As for Bennett, clearly you are unaware of how good he is in the postseason if you are basing his value off the regular season points totals, I bet 90% of Bruins fans would trade DeBrusk for Bennett straight up right now. Your justification on the pick position is pretty sketchy too, Florida's going to magically become a top 3 team in the league while being back in a division with Boston and Toronto, let alone make the final 4 according to you after not making it out of the first round last year. And then you are now basing Calgary's pick on where they finish based on a trade that does not exist. Somehow that fake trade will then lead to this fake trade and Calgary will somehow still be under the cap while adding 13.5M and moving out like 8M. Talk about a hell of a reach for justification

The entire premise of your post and how this entire conversation started is based off you arguing that the trade happens because you said so. You were told by not just me that it would be declined and your argument is "idc this is what I want." A trade doesn't have to be realistic but to avoid the criticism that you clearly didn't want all you have to do is make the value realistic or not make it public to the forum. I have plenty of teams I've made then just not posted. You trying to argue that a trade does happen just because you said so is so silly

The trade is happening because this is indeed my post, and therefore if it indeed is my post, ANY trade I want to make will go thru. What you seem to be missing is the fact that this is an online forum and not real life. You, much like myself, are not an NHL GM. So you have no clue in the slightest what would, could, and will pass as a fair trade. Just speculation. So for you to say “Yes, they do, easily” is yet again, totally based on the unknown and speculative.
