First things first is not re-signing Kempny. We have too many LHD kids that need time.

McMichael will need top 9 time. Would hurt his development to play him on the 4th line.

If McMichael outplay someone, he could go on the 3LW or 3C but you’ll need to move down Eller or Sheary

Doubtful that Orlov plays on the right instead of Van Riemsdyk, which could allow Washington to let Kempny go and get a depth defenseman for cheaper.

I would guess that Eller moves to the 4th line next year if nothing else changes at center so that McMichael can get more meaningful minutes. Eller would still be on the PK but would step aside for McMichael knowing he can leave as an FA the next year if he wants to.

It would be nice to bring back both goalies but I don't see it happening unless there is no interest in Vanacek.

They won't be playing 3, just 2. Will be Fehervary and Alexeeyv on the bottom 2 pairing.
