I don't worry about the integrity of the game. Our players are professionals.

They really dont need to move Schmaltz to do that. Also i assume the plan is to start getting good as soon as they get him, not 4 years after.

No thanks from Minnesota. Nick a isn't worth a 1st nuch less 1st, and Top c prospect whose getting better and better. Minnesota would have wanted Christian C. Nick a doesn't bring much besides scoring. Also, nick s isn't good at face-offs

Out of curiosity what's with all the Johansson trades on here lately? I realize he has improved, but I still doubt he ever makes NHL.

Johansson's just a throw-in here. You know, those long-shot flyers that rebuilding clubs sometimes take. I thought Marat + a 1st was a fair price for Schmaltz because Dvorak, who's the same age and signed for less term, got a similar package of a first and a second. I think Schmaltz probably returns a little bit more than Dvorak in a trade because he's signed for an extra year in his prime and he's historically put up better offensive numbers.

All things considered, I wouldn’t trade Khusnutdinov straight up for Schmatz !

Understood, I am just not a fan of Schmaltz.
