How is that good for either player's development? Romanov is an NHL player now and Guhle needs perhaps another year in the WHL.

Ghule suit more the new system and Laval can develop a true gun in ahl instead of wasting him in NHL like KK! A step back could help for Romy!

He doesn't need it though he is too good for the AHL and Guhle is not NHL ready yet so that will ruin his development as well.

Romanov needs to understand his pace on ice and the system in d-zone ... He also needs to put points on board on a regular basis. For Ghule check the camp and you will understand. A mountain man 2.0 is en route.

Romy does just fine, sending him to Laval will hurt him more than help at this stage. He needs to be given more responsibility not less. We need to start playing the kids in the best position possible to help the succeed not bury them in the AHL or play them strictly in the bottom of the lineup when they are skilled enough to play top 4D or top 6F.

I know who Guhle is and I like him very much but that doesn't mean he is NHL ready. He still needs 1 more year in the WHL then possibly another year in the AHL. He will get to the NHL soon enough and likely form part of our top 4 with Romanov, Norlinder and Mailloux in the very near future.
