Eichel being on LTIR would fix Van's cap issue for now so they don't get offer sheeted on Quinn.

Idk, i dont think that this is a good idea for the canucks. Next offseason boeser is due to get his next contract, and petterson would sign a for less than 9 million given kaprizov's contract. Yes this trade would prob help the canucks currently, it would hurt them in the future

Pretty sure this is a hard wrong. I think he is expecting 9.5 because of kaprizov.

I do agree this would hurt long term, I love me some petey. But like, what can you do right now to fix this?

Maybe trade Myers and or hamonic with some picks for cheaper defensemen, but im sure benning isnt that smart to do that

True, but no way Canucks would do this trade with with Jack likely being out most if not all of the season.

As a Sabres fan, I still wouldnt do this. Not saying its not equal or lopsided, but just Jack is my fVorite and I hope things work out eventually and he stays in Buffalo.

If we can't afford to pay both guys then it wouldn't matter if Jack is gone for the year.
