Yes, assuming Eichel has gotten back on the ice and looked healthy I think Buffalo could get a little more

As a sabres fan, this is good for me.

I would of liked Batherson in the deal tho

This is a decent offer and does not hurt the SENS line up. It adds good young players to the Buffalo roster.

2022 first over 2023 first and Batherson over Brännström (another LHD prospect) would make this a near perfect package.
Two centers, RW and first.
If a RHD (Lassi Thomson for example) were to replace White it would fill all of the holes in Buffalo's roster.

I should clarify, when I saw this I conaidered it similar to my Flames package but Monahan has a fair bit more value than White. I also factored in that Buffalo would probably ask for more from a division rival.

As for your Brannstrom vs Batherson thing. First there is no chance they would move Batherson, he is a vore player and they would want to add Eichel to play with him. Secondly even though Brannstrom is lefty he still primarily plays the right side, think TJ Brodie

Again thank you for your feed back.
I agree that your suggested offer from Calgary is better and it is my favorite as it also fills holes in the Buffalo line up.
I feel that the offer suggested in this post is not bad, much better than most I have seen.

I actually think I need to revise that Flames offer, I think the base of Monahan + Dube + Zary is fine but I don't think there is any chance Buffalo gets a 2022 1st now without conditions, maybe even the same for 2023 1st. Like we are just over 2 weeks from the season opener now. It will be substantial time that he will miss that could be the difference between the playoffs or not. The team that trades for him has to be in a position where they feel both desperate enough for a change and still think they can stay in contention after giving up the roster players and assets to get him. It's kinda a contradiction

You can check this out for yourself, but 95% of all herniated disk in the neck are treated with rehabilitation and pain medicine.
The normal recovery period is less than 3 months.
I know Eichel failed the physical, because neither the Sabres nor him want him in a Sabre uniform again.

Oh Eichel is 100% getting surgery, he is well past the rehab time now.

All I am saying though is there will definitely by a lot of conditions on any trade involving Eichel now. And extremely unlikely to get a guaranteed 2022 1st

If its a 2022 1st, itll be a lottery pick like bottom 5 because Eichel wont be playing. No chance you get that back unless the pick is like top 15 protected LOL

I would throw Lassi in as well if thats what would seal the deal.
