Think thats an overpay tbh. I think one of those prospects and a 2nd or 3rd would do it.

Why would Carolina even want Kessel with the amount of forwards we already have?

Improve the scoring depth. Nino is poised for a down year, Staal is going to regress massively, sure you get Teuvo's production back, but there's still not enough scoring here imo

Understandable with the Staal regression, but I think if Martin Necas can continue to grow scoring wise we wouldn't need Kessel

Then you're fighting both the Nino and Staal regression with the hopes that Necas didn't just benefit from playing with Aho and having some speed. Remember, the dude made Warren Foegele look like a decent line mate
