I like the D pairings, but I'm not sure Farrance manages to crack the lineup quite yet (maybe as the season goes on) with Benning and Boro still on the team.

And I'll need to see more of Tomasino before slotting him in at 2C.

It's an interesting 3rd line with a good mix of skill, speed, size, and toughness (Tolvanen likes to throw the body around a surprising amount -- I think he had 7 or so hits last game)

I'd be surprised if Cousins isn't in the lineup somewhere though -- less so for Grimaldi.

And I think it's best for Ingram to be the starter in MIL after the year he just had. Some stability as a starter would be a good spot for him -- and being the first goalie call-up.

All things considered, I could still get behind this starting lineup. Good stuff.

I worry about ingram clearing waivers which is why I left him with the team. Otherwise I’d have cousins up and ingram in the AHL. I personally wasn’t impressed with Boro last season but he was battling some injury issues so maybe he’ll be better this season. I like the idea of putting Farrance with Fabbro because they’ve already built some familiarity with each other. Farrance won’t stick the entire season but I’d like to give him some games at the start of the season then send him down and recall someone else

Good catch. I originally had Boro down as he didn’t impress me last season but after thinking it through put him back up because Farrance wasn’t very experienced and likely wouldn’t last the whole season in the NHL.

Also i like the premise behind the 3rd line. Jeannot likes to drive towards the net, is big and physical. Tolvanen is surprisingly physical for his stature but is a sniper. Glass is a good puck handler and distributor. I think they could cause some havoc.

Granlunds best seasons were at wing so I’d love to get him back to there. Problem is Duchene plays best with Forsberg. I think Kunin and Granlund could offer a stabilizing hand to Tomasino. Other options are available should it fail. Granlund back to center or heck put Cousins at 2C. I don’t think there’s much of an ideal situation here given our C group.

Interesting point on Ingram. I wouldn't normally be worried about that, but there are a few teams in need of a goaltender -- ARI, BUF, or potentially even NJD given Blackwood's vaccination status. Tricky situation.

Yeh Buffalo scares me in that way. Right now their tandem of dell and Anderson played a combined 11 games last season. That number doesn’t change much if luukkonen takes the starting role. Dell had 7 games last year with terrible stats. Anderson is 40 and played 4 games last season with ok numbers. Luukkonen had 4 nhl games with mediocre stats and his ahl numbers weren’t great either. I could see them taking a swing with Ingram just because they don’t have much to lose.
